Kurt Davis Jr. is an investment banker with Houlihan Lokey in the Financial Restructuring and Special Situations Group focusing on Africa and Middle East. Previously, he worked with Barclays Capital (an investment bank in its Global Natural Resources Group), Crescimento Inteligente (an investment management and advisory firm in Mozambique), Schulze Global Investments (an emerging markets private equity firm in its Ethiopia office), Kukula Capital (a venture finance and private equity firm in Zambia), Precise Consult International (an investment advisory firm in Ethiopia), and Swicorp (a private equity firminits Tunisia office). Mr. Davis has served on numerous corporate and non-profit boards, including Reewire International, The School Fund, Educate 2 Envision, and Right 2 Thrive and frequently contributes topublications including Africa Investor, AFKInsider, Oil Review Africa, and Ventures Africa. Mr. Davis holds a M.B.A. in Finance, Operations, and Entrepreneurship from the University of Chicago Booth School of Business, a Juris Doctorate (J.D.) in Tax Law and Corporate Law from the University of Virginia School of Law, and a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) in Foreign Affairs and in Political & Social Thought from the University of Virginia. Kurt and his wife Jessica currently live between Dubai, UAE and Nairobi, Kenya.
